Opening Day – Grades 9- 12

School Opens Thursday, September 3, 2015 for all students. 


Update Information

Any changes in residence, guardianship and/or court documents regarding your student, please contact either the main office or guidance as soon as possible.


School Pictures

School pictures will be taken on Tuesday, September 15th, Wednesday, September 16th & Thursday, September 17th during physical education class. ALL STUDENTS ARE TO HAVE THEIR PICTURE TAKEN, whether or not you purchase them.

BRAVE Necessities

Stop by and visit Newton High School’s school store: BRAVE Necessities located outside the Gym. You can purchase basic school supplies, spirit items and order clothing. Store hours:  7:15am – 7:30am; 10:50am – 1:00pm; 2:35pm – 3:00pm.

School Lunches - 2015-16 lunch price is $3.00. 

Students are permitted to leave school grounds during their lunch period unless a parent request is made that the student remains on campus. Leaving school for lunch is a privilege and may be revoked at any time.


Attendance

Attendance procedures are enforced rigorously. Please note that on the 15th cumulative absence for a full year course, credit is lost. Also, upon the second cut of a class, course credit is lost. Additionally, two tardies to a class (15 minutes or less) constitute one cumulative absence. A cumulative absence is received if a student misses more that 15 minutes of a class. Please refer to the Student/Parent Handbook for more information.
